(Eckhart Tolle, from “A New Earth, awakening to your lif’se purpose”)
CONTENT AND STRUCTURE OF THE EGO
The egoic mind is completely conditioned by the past. Its conditioning is twofold: It consists of content and structure:
In the case of a child who cries in deep suffering because his toy has been taken away; the toy represents content. It is interchangeable with any other content, any other toy or object. The content you identify with is conditioned by your environment, your upbringing, and surrounding culture. Whether the child is rich or poor, whether the toy is a piece of wood shaped like an animal or a sophisticated electronic gadget make no difference as far as the suffering caused by its loss is concerned. The reason why such acute suffering occurs is concealed in the word ”my,” and it is structural. The unconscious compulsion to enhance one s identity through association with an object is built into the very structure of the egoic mind.
One of the most basic mind structure through which the ego comes into existence is identification. The word “identification” is derived from the Latin word idem, meaning “same” and facere, which means “to make.” So when I identify with something I “make the same,” the same as what? The same as I. I endow it with a sense of self, and so it becomes part of my “identity.” One of the most basic levels of identification is with things: my toy later becomes my car, my house, my clothes, and so on. I try to find myself in things but never quite make it and end up losing myself in them. That is the fate of the ego.

(from” A Course in Miracles”)
In quietness are all things answered, and is every problem quietly resolved. In conflict there can be no answer and no resolution, for its purpose is to make no resolution possible, and to ensure no answer will be plain. A problem set in conflict has no answer, for it is seen in different ways. And what would be an answer from one point of view is not an answer in another light.
...
Thus it must be that time is not involved and every problem can be answered now. Yet it must also be that, in your state of mind, solution is impossible. Therefore, God must have given you a way of reaching to another state of mind in which the answer is already there. Such is the holy instant. It is here that all your problem should be brought and left. Here they belong, for here their answer is. And where its answer is, a problem must be simple and be easily resolved.

(Marina Borruso from “The Time is Now”)
The moment always arrives when we stop running away from our demons and decide to finally look them in the eye. The moment in which we stop, we turn around and we let ourselves be frightened by the fear from which, up until that moment, we have tried to escape. It happens when we have truly had enough, when we believe we have touched the bottom. At that moment something surrenders inside of ourselves and we allow ourselves to truly be touched by inner and outer movements. Then we stop waiting for the people around us to change, or stop waiting for things to change or for ourselves to change. In other words, we finally accept things the way they are.

When we practice as much as possible during the day, paying attention to the inner body, we get used to sensing that subtle dimension of the life that flows under our skin. When we practice staying still in the face of mental or emotional movements the idea which we have nourished of ourselves begins to lose its demading and arrogant grip and slowly, just as it happens in a swamp when detritus is deposited, the water becomes transparent once again and finally the bottom appears - the small stones, the leaves, the small treasures. It is in this way the we begin to truly know ourselves and to recognize the real flow of life.

(Hafiz from “The gift”)

Why not be polite

Everyone
Is God speaking.
Why not be polite and
Listen to

Him

STOP BEING SO RELIGIOUS

What
Do sad people have in
Common?

It seems
They have all built a shrine
To the past

And often go there
And do a strange wail and
Worship.

What is the beginning of
Happiness?

It is to stop being
So religious
Like

That.
